In conjunction with our participation in the No Excuses University network of schools, Wells Middle School proudly provides the Wells Parent University! Parents are able to attend classes/workshops and learn about ways to support their students. Topics include types of Parent Involvement from the research of Joyce Epstein, as well as various topics that impact our students and community, including high school graduation requirements, counseling services, homework help, state testing changes and the implementation of the California Common Core State Standards. Each class a parent attends, they earn credits towards Parent University graduation in the Spring. The Wells Parent University continues to be a great support for our entire Wells community.
