Meet Our 2025 Principal of the Year!

Jason Marquez, a true education champion! With over 20 years of dedication to student success, Jason’s journey began in 1997, focusing on helping students with emotional and behavioral challenges. He kicked off his career at a non-public school for emotionally disturbed students, then took his talents to the Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE), where he continued to make a difference. 

 

In 2000, Jason joined Alvord Unified School District, and that's when his impact really started to grow. From Social Education teacher to high school counselor, Jason guided students through both academic and personal challenges, quickly building a reputation for his unwavering support. 

 

But he didn’t stop there! Jason’s leadership journey soared as he became Assistant Principal, then Principal of a continuation school, where he helped at-risk students graduate and chase their dreams. 

 

Now, as the **Principal of Norte Vista High School**, Jason leads with passion and purpose, prioritizing academic excellence, student well-being, and community engagement. His unwavering commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment continues to drive positive change, making him a true advocate for the growth and success of every student and staff member in his school community!
